Index was formed out of the demise of the home information pack era. During that time the founding partners Anne, Simon and David all ran successful local search companies, gaining over 45 years combined search industry experience.
Anne Lucking MD explains
“HIPS turned the search industry upside down and once they were abolished we soon realised that the industry had lost focus on personal service. For many years technology was cited as the way forward and the answer to all problems, but our clients disagreed. What they wanted was service.
They wanted to be able to pick up the phone and talk to someone, have their problems and requests dealt with efficiently, and they also, all wanted something a little different. It was then that it became completely clear that one size does not fit all”
The Index philosophy was born - utilise modern technology where it enhances the service, but at all times a client’s needs come first.
Unlike a centralised system, our focus is to make our clients life easier, not ours. This ethos means that every development that is put in place is designed with the client in mind. With everything we do, we ask one question first. Does this help the client? This approach proved so successful locally, that it presented our next challenge; to provide the same service nationally.
“We knew we had the right formula, but it was obvious if we simply expanded from one location we would dilute the service and become just another search provider”.
The solution was simple: to find like-minded people throughout the UK to partner with and open local Index offices. Train and immerse each office in the Index ethos, so that wherever there is an Index office, the level of service is the same.
“This is the only way we can deliver the efficiency, accuracy and personal service that the conveyancing industry needs and deserves”
The success of the Index philosophy has been unprecedented, with multiple offices opening throughout the country on a yearly basis, we continue to be the UKs fastest growing Independent Search Provider.
